On May 25, 2020, libertarians and allies celebrated Memorial Day on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall by protesting the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. Protesters came from across the political spectrum, including representatives of a religious coalition and advocates for the Second Amendment.

Demonstrators numbered at least 90 people, with many carrying protest signs and American flags. Speakers addressed issues of freedom and rights in the face of the lockdown, and advocated for an end to the restrictions. Vehicles drove by, flying American flags in support.

The protest was organized by Angela McArdle of the Libertarian Party of Los Angeles County. Among other things, the protest proved to be a good way to network with other libertarians.

This action was one of many demonstration taking place across the country, and is part of a wider movement to pressure the government into restoring some basic freedoms.
